Hinterland Hills by Hexhog Tabletops

Hi all!

It's been a long time, I hope everyone is doing well! While I've been out of terrain making for a while, I have some friends down in California who just launched a Kickstarter. It's a 3d-printable modular terrain system that lets you build all kinds of hills, area terrain, and gaming tables. Too be honest, this is EXACTLY the kind of hill terrain I've been waiting for since I got into terrain making. Evan and Matt were kind enough to get me some of their product to preview in advance, and I put together a video on how I used it and what I thought of it. If you're interested, check out the Hinterland Hills Kickstarter, live now!

Thanks,

Jim

50% Off Closing Sale
over 5 years ago – Sun, Jan 06, 2019 at 07:46:46 PM

Hi all -

First off, thanks so much to all of the backers and customers of Worldsmith Industries. It has been an absolute joy being part of the Kickstarter community and, with your help, having had the opportunity to create and cast resin terrain for all of you over the past 4 years.

Because of work, family, and other hobbies, I unfortunately no longer have the time to continue casting terrain. As such, I'll be shutting down my webstore shortly. Before I do, though, I have some inventory to unload. For a limited time, everything in my webstore is at least 50% off. Inventory is limited, once it's gone, it's gone.

If you'd like to pick up some terrain, my webstore is here: Worldsmith Industries

Thanks again for all of your kind words and support over the years - I literally could not have done it without you!

Warmly,

Jim

The Aftermath!
almost 7 years ago – Sun, Apr 30, 2017 at 10:16:22 PM

I'm slowly catching up with other projects now that the dust has settled on fulfillment. I have some more resin on the way and, while it might be a month or so, I should have some of the new pieces available on worldsmithindustries.com before too long. I'll be updating the rest of my stock, as well. I apparently estimated the amount of resin I would need for fulfillment close enough that I had not much more than I would need to complete what was backed. Because mine is a one-person hobby business, I make certain that my stock reflects what I have on hand ready to ship. I want to be able to ship as soon as an order is placed.

I've been pretty horrible at doing anything on social media, but I'm going to make an honest attempt at being active on Twitter. I'll be available @WorldsmithJim if you'd like to drop me a note. I'd especially appreciate it if you can tweet me photos of your Worldsmith Industries terrain in use. I'd love to see what you all do with it!

I hope you're enjoying the terrain, and I hope you keep in touch!

Terrain Incoming!!!
about 7 years ago – Sat, Mar 25, 2017 at 11:52:47 AM

Hi all -

I'm hoping that, by now, you all have some tracking information in your e-mail inbox. Everything is packed up and dropped off at the post office! When your terrain arrives, please check over the contents and let me know about any errors via KS messaging or e-mail. I checked things over carefully, but mistakes do happen. I'm happy to fix them!

Over the next couple weeks I'll be casting some additional pieces to update the stock in my webstore (which has been woefully neglected over the past months). In the meantime, however, I'll be curling up with a glass of Scotch (Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban) and a good book (Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose). Thanks a million for all of your support and enthusiasm throughout this project! The Kickstarter community really is unique. Without your support I would have never been able to produce this terrain, and I'm eternally grateful for your faith in me.

Warmest regards,

Jim

Finalize Shipping Addresses
about 7 years ago – Sun, Mar 05, 2017 at 09:07:16 PM

Hi all -

I have a quick update with good news. I'll be locking down the shipping addresses shortly in preparation for fulfillment. If your shipping address has changed since you completed the Backerkit survey, please re-visit it to change your shipping address. I'll lock down shipping addresses in two weeks, on Sunday, 3/19. I'm hoping to have the terrain in your hands within a month. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Happy gaming!

Jim
